Weekly Writing Challenge Day 1
Early this day; waiting, watching
A familiar face to serve my coffee
More workers flit – swift and sure – from this place to that
Hoovers heard and dusters seen
Such aspects of the mall one rarely sees
But as time ticks on, things start to change
Customers are seeping in
The children, the mothers, and the pensioners
(It is a week day after all)
For now though, with shutters down,
it is our domain – the workers place to wait and watch.
